D'ni pocketwatchby ~Zirrrus

This is a D'ni pocketwatch I made a while ago. It displays Gorahn, Prorahn and Tahvo. I think I left the Gahrtahvo out...

Those are fictional time units used by the D'ni.

The D'ni are an ancient civilisation from the Myst computer game series by Cyan who lived deep under the surface of the earth and were able to create connections to worlds by writing books describing them.

I made a lot of items that were supposed to be everyday items used by them all made of this boring brass stuff.
I will rerender this one using a reflection map so it will(hopefully) look more interesting...

Edit: Even better, I will render it using Indigo, an awesome renderer based on physics! Everything you put in there comes out like 10 times more beautiful.

Also, I just noticed that there is actually a display for the Gahrtahvo...it's just hidden behind an edge in this pic...

why doesn't the numbers make sense
the one, the arrow is pointing at, i have not seen before
and under it says 1 10 3 4 ....... why doesn't this make any sense
i'm not sure how the D,ni kepth a hold of the time
I do not know how D,ni holte track of time but this seems a bit odd compared
to my latest experiences with the D,ni number system.
A very Good design BTW
